This composition is from McCoy Tyner’s critically acclaimed 1967 album The Real McCoy (Blue Note Records). There is a meditative energy to the album and a reverence for life itself. McCoy describes Contemplation as “… the sound of a man alone. A man reflecting on what religion means to him, reflecting on the meaning of life." It seems fitting to bring this song to this beautiful garden - a place designed for humans to taste this deep tranquility, contemplation and beauty.
